About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Assistant Trial Manager to join our team at the Oxford Respiratory Trials Unit (ORTU). This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills in clinical trial management or for an experienced professional seeking a new challenge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the set up and management of clinical trials, including CTIMPs, and provide administrative support to the team.
  • Work closely with the trial management team to ensure the smooth delivery of studies.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records and reports, and provide high-quality administrative support.
  • Collaborate with other members of the unit to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Provide excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and external partners.
About You
  • Minimum A-level or equivalent education.
  • Proven administrative and project management skills, with experience in clinical research.
  • Understanding and previous experience of working to Good Clinical Practice and the regulations and guidelines applicable to clinical trials in the UK.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a busy team.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Effective communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate critical and intelligent attention to detail and high standards of accuracy.
  • Familiarity with the Internet and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
About the Nuffield Department of Clinical Medicine

The Nuffield Department of Clinical Medicine is one of the largest departments of the University of Oxford and is part of the Medical Sciences Division. We are responsible for a significant part of the teaching of clinical students within the Medical School.
