Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Humanities Specialist to join our team at Dunbar Education. As a History Educator, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons in History and Religious Education (RE) to students aged 11 to 16.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lesson Delivery: Develop and implement engaging and well-structured lessons in History and RE, tailored to the needs of students.
  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and enhancement of the Humanities curriculum, ensuring it is both challenging and inclusive.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students achieve their potential.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Engage with parents and carers to support student learning and well-being, and participate in professional development opportunities to continually improve teaching practices.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Degree in History, RE or related subject, and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience: Proven experience in teaching at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge base in History and RE, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
