We are seeking a highly skilled and empathetic Resident Liaison Officer to join our team at Enfield Council. As a key member of our housing team, you will play a vital role in supporting residents facing significant life challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a single point of contact for residents, providing coaching, support, and empowerment to find solutions and progress paths.
  • Manage and assess high-risk, complex cases with clear outcomes and risk management plans.
  • Provide initial support to new social housing tenants, ensuring they understand their rights and responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with multiple agencies to ensure residents' immediate safety and long-term resolution.
  • Build plans for early and medium-term interventions to achieve desired outcomes for residents.
  • Ensure regular evaluation, case tracking, and adherence to safeguarding policies.
  • Provide high-quality and comprehensive tenancy management services.
  • Maintain effective relationships with community groups, residents, councillors, and other internal and external bodies.
Requirements
  • Empathetic and supportive approach with a strong commitment to community welfare.
  • Knowledgeable in housing law, safeguarding, domestic abuse, mental health, and more.
  • Experienced in complex casework management and tenancy management in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in coaching or motivational interviewing techniques to empower residents.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to provide advice in accurate spoken English.
  • Collaborative, flexible, and constructive in dealings with residents, colleagues, and partners.
