Purchase Ledger Clerk

Bond Williams Limited is seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team at Bournemouth Airport Business Park. The company is currently in growth and is looking to recruit a skilled professional to support their finance function.
About the Role
- Process all Accounts Payable invoices monthly, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Reconcile AP statements, maintaining good housekeeping of supplier accounts and ensuring accuracy.
- Monitor Aged AP reports to identify and address any discrepancies.
- Manage the AP email inbox to ensure that invoices, statements, and queries are dealt with in a timely manner.
- Answer AP-related queries and provide excellent customer service.
- Chase internal approvals on invoices and ensure seamless payment processing.
- Create payment runs and ad-hoc payments for review and approval by the Financial Controller and CFO.
- Raise approved payments in the bank ready for authorization and payment.
- Post payments to AP ledgers once payments have been approved on the bank.
- Assist in AP process improvements and implement efficient solutions.
- Perform any ad-hoc work as requested by the team.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in Purchase Ledger or a related field.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills, with a 'can-do' attitude.
- Self-motivated, confident, team-oriented, and friendly.
- Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Experience with Xero or similar accounting software is an advantage.
- AAT level 3 or equivalent is an advantage.
