Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our team at Venture Recruitment Partners. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with VAT regulations, and providing exceptional customer service to our suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Record Keeping: Input invoices and credit notes onto the purchase ledger, scan suppliers' invoices onto the system, and reconcile suppliers' statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- VAT Compliance: Correctly code invoices with nominal codes, company codes, and VAT codes to ensure compliance with VAT regulations.
- Supplier Communication: Respond to supplier queries in a timely and professional manner, resolving any issues or discrepancies.
- Payment Processing: Process payment runs accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely payment to suppliers.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a Purchase Ledger Clerk role, with a strong understanding of VAT regulations.
- Skills: Excellent Excel skills, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Education: Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance.
