Continence Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated nurse practitioner to join our team in promoting continence and providing specialist assessment and diagnostic intervention enabling treatment and management packages of care, for patients with bladder and bowel dysfunction.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating specialist continence care. They will support individuals and their families or carers in the community with the aim of optimising patients' levels of continence, independence and self-care.
The postholder will act as an expert resource on continence care, providing training as required to other health care professionals.

Key Responsibilities- To assess, develop, implement, and evaluate specialist continence care for patients with bladder and bowel dysfunction.
- To provide training and advice to other healthcare professionals on continence care.
- To work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care.
- To participate in service development and improvement initiatives.
- Registered Nurse on Part 1 of the NMC register.
- Previous continence promotion experience.
- Teaching and assessing qualification.
- Degree qualification in a nursing related field.
- MSC or MA or working towards.
- Advanced physical assessment.
- Promotion of continence qualification.
- Non-medical prescribing.

- A competitive salary of £37,338 to £44,962 per annum (pro rata).
