Role Overview

The Scouts is seeking a skilled Local Growth Officer to drive the expansion of Scouting opportunities in Buckinghamshire. This exciting role will support the growth ambitions of Buckinghamshire's Scouts, working closely with local volunteers to open new sections and collaborate with the Growth & Communities Team.

About the Role

As a Local Growth Officer, you will play a pivotal role in achieving the growth ambitions of Buckinghamshire's Scouts. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting and working in partnership with lead volunteers within the County
  • Opening new Scouting provision and ensuring that Scouting is accessible to all
  • Inspiring and enabling local Scouting volunteers to devise and apply
  • Advising and supporting local Scouting volunteers
  • Helping to identify, create, and design new tools and resources to support inclusive membership

Requirements

We are looking for a self-starter with excellent planning and organisational skills, who is confident in public speaking and skilled at presenting ideas. Experience of working with volunteer groups and community engagement is essential.
