Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a prominent manufacturing site in Manchester. The successful candidate will support the maintenance team on a rotating shift pattern, ensuring compliance with operating systems and maintaining Health & Safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee site infrastructure and perform maintenance checks
  • Document findings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Operate engineering machinery and work closely with other departments to meet key performance targets
  • Participate in shift handovers and execute start-up/shutdown procedures
  • Manage preventative maintenance plans and report any issues to the Engineering Supervisor
Requirements:
  • GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Math
  • 4-5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Strong communication, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure
