Job Opportunity for a Multidisciplinary Maintenance Specialist
Shoalter Automation (UK) Limited is seeking a highly skilled Multidisciplinary Maintenance Specialist to support our operations at MediaCityUK. This role will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our machinery and equipment, requiring strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in an engineering field or a recognised engineering qualification, with proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or industrial environment. They will also possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Preventative Maintenance:
- Regular inspections and servicing of machinery to prevent breakdowns and secure optimum performance.
- Update and keep accurate maintenance records.
Reactive Maintenance:
- Respond promptly to any machinery breakdowns, diagnosing faults and conducting repairs to minimise downtime.
- Communicate effectively with the operations team to coordinate maintenance activities.
Improvement Initiatives:
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to augment equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments in project work aimed at optimising operational processes.
Compliance and Safety:
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a safe working environment by abiding by industry best practices and standards in maintenance operations.
Technical Support:
- Provide technical support and training to other team members as needed.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Working Hours:
- This role necessitates flexibility to cover a shift pattern spanning 24 hours, including morning, afternoon, and night shifts, as well as weekends and public holidays.
