Job Title: Skills Coach General

Location: AMH New Horizons

Job Summary:

The Skills Coach General will play a vital role in supporting the recovery of individuals with mental ill health by delivering accredited employability and personal development programmes. The post holder will be responsible for providing training in employability and personal development, as well as supporting individuals to progress towards further education, training, or employment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver accredited training in employability and personal development
  • Support individuals to progress towards further education, training, or employment
  • Work with individuals to identify their strengths and areas for development
  • Develop and implement individualised training plans
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes

Requirements:

  • RQF Level 3 qualification in a relevant field
  • Experience of working with individuals with mental health needs or other disadvantaged groups
  • Evidence of delivering training in a group setting
  • Full current driving licence and access to a car (consideration will be given to alternative travelling proposals for applicants with a disability)

Skills and Qualities:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
