Strategic Business Continuity Professional

This role is focused on supporting the Business Continuity and Security function at Slaughter and May in maintaining the firm's business continuity, operational risk frameworks, and ISO certifications. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and embedding business continuity frameworks and a minimum of 3-5 years' experience working in a similar role. Key responsibilities include assisting the Business Continuity and Security Team with all aspects of business continuity planning and response arrangements, coordinating policy reviews and risk and business impact analyses, and managing and reporting on incident management and technology recovery plan development and maintenance. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the planning and delivery of the testing and exercising program, coordinating annual internal and external audits, and administering and maintaining standard materials used for client information requests and audits. The role will also involve monitoring risks, industry news, and trends to ensure the firm is well-placed to manage emerging threats. Strong communication and influencing skills are essential for this position, as the successful candidate will need to persuade stakeholders of the need for good business continuity management and what is required to embed it successfully. The ability to identify creative solutions to overcome challenges and deal with ambiguity and competing priorities is also highly valued.
