About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Sugarman Health & Wellbeing. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual with autism, schizophrenia, and challenging behaviors in their own home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the individual to maximize their independence and engage in community activities such as going into town, the park, and visiting their favorite bakery.
  • Assist with indoor activities such as playing video games and promoting life skills such as cooking, washing, and maintaining their home.
  • Provide emotional support and help the individual to self-regulate when faced with challenging behaviors.
Requirements
  • Able to attend Safety Intervention training provided by Sugarman Health and Wellbeing.
  • Enthusiasm to learn and experience new things.
  • Willingness to embrace the individual's goals and aspirations.
  • Full enhanced DBS.
