About the Role
We are seeking an Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our multidisciplinary team at Bromley Road, a rehabilitation service for men and women with enduring mental health issues, complex needs, and complicated addiction problems.
As an Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to support the service in delivering structured activities and assisting in the planning for individual and group therapeutic interventions.
You will build one-to-one relationships with service users to encourage participation in activities and empower recovery. Your role will involve contributing to the assessment, monitoring, evaluation, and modification of structured activities to measure progression and ensure effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting Occupational Therapists, Nurses, and other MDT staff in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individual care plans.
- Supporting service users to achieve their goals and access appropriate services.
- Maintaining adequate records, entering details in the service user healthcare records.
Requirements
- GCSE/O-Levels (A-C) or a relevant NVQ2.
- Experience in a similar environment and mental health.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
