Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Lead to join our team at Swift Recruit. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for leading projects from conception to completion, ensuring that all designs meet the required specifications and deadlines.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with a minimum of 7 years of experience in project management within the construction industry. Chartered Engineer or Qualified by Experience status is essential.

In this role, you will oversee the entire project life cycle, from design to implementation. You will be responsible for defining design methods, specifications, and performance requirements, as well as conducting site inspections and preparing design and economic feasibility studies.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead a team of engineers and technicians, assigning and outlining work, reviewing design methods, and checking plans, designs, layouts, specifications, reports, and proposals for technical accuracy and adequacy.

You will also be responsible for consistently liaising with Clients and other industry professionals in a professional and appropriate manner, generating excellent working relationships and a high level of Client satisfaction leading to repeat business.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £85,000-£110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
