About the Role

UHS Estates Limited is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Support Associate to join our team. As a key member of our clinical support specialist team, you will play a vital role in supporting theatres within University Hospital Southampton by leading change and improvement projects, providing clinical advice on product substitutions, and leading/assisting tenders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage change and improvement projects in theatres, ensuring seamless delivery and minimal disruption to services.
  • Provide expert clinical advice on product substitutions, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
  • Lead and assist in tendering processes, ensuring the best value for money and meeting the needs of our stakeholders.
  • Liaise with third-party suppliers, such as Sterile Services and Wessex Procurement Limited, to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
  • Work closely with the UEL clinical support specialist team to develop and implement effective solutions to improve theatre operations.

Requirements

  • Registered healthcare professional with a degree or equivalent.
  • Substantial, proven clinical experience at Band 5 level or equivalent.
  • Experience of working in operating theatre or other invasive procedure-type environments.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously and within tight timescales.
  • Ability to manage complex problems and projects, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
