About the Role

UHS Estates Limited (UEL) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Support Associate to join our team. As a key member of our clinical support specialist team, you will play a vital role in supporting theatres within University Hospital Southampton by leading change and improvement projects, providing clinical advice on product substitutions, and leading/assisting tenders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage change and improvement projects in theatres
  • Provide clinical advice on product substitutions and lead/assist tenders
  • Liaise with third-party suppliers such as Sterile Services and Wessex Procurement Limited
  • Work collaboratively with the UEL clinical support specialist team to deliver a managed service to UHS theatres

About Us

UHS Estates Limited (UEL) is a wholly owned subsidiary of University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS). We are responsible for the design and construction of new buildings, and the ongoing provision of services, including estate maintenance, soft facilities management, and the management of equipment, consumables, and materials, in support of one of England's largest acute teaching Trusts.

Requirements

  • Registered healthcare professional - registered nurse or registered operating department practitioner
  • Degree or equivalent
  • Evidence of post-qualifying education and ability to link theory to professional practice
  • Substantial, proven clinical experience at Band 5 level or equivalent
  • Experience of working in operating theatre or other invasive procedure-type environment
