Job Title: Lead M&E Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead M&E Engineer to join our team at PRS, a leading specialist recruitment and search & selection consultancy within the Building Services, FM and Support Sectors.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing large-scale engineering projects from conception to completion, providing technical and commercial input to project implementation, bid generation, and opportunity scoping. The role will involve working closely with the Business Development and Commercial team and the Operations Team to support the delivery of projects and contracts across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support energy and water efficiency upgrades with engineering input
  2. Collate technical and commercial information from manufacturers/suppliers
  3. Act as technical lead for projects
  4. Develop solutions to energy and water efficiency upgrade challenges
  5. Drive continued high-quality design and technical approach in line with up-to-date best practice industry standards across the engineering team
  6. Produce design data and sizing calculations for projects, including GSHP and ASHP systems, district and communal heating systems, solar PV, and other low-carbon technologies
  7. Lead and manage large-scale engineering projects from bid conception through to project completion and handover
  8. Conduct site surveys and report on findings to clients
  9. Undertake site and technology assessments to assist in funding applications for clients
  10. Provide peer review support to the engineering team, alongside the Head of Engineering and Head of Design
  11. Full technical design and report writing as part of tender responses, project work, and construction as-built documentation
  12. Carry out technical surveys in domestic and/or commercial properties for energy or water efficiency related upgrades
Requirements
  1. Engineering degree (BEng/MEng) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Building Services
  2. Obtained or working towards becoming a Chartered Engineer (CEng) with CIBSE, IMechE, or IET
  3. Minimum 5 years' experience working in the Energy industry
  4. Good IT skills, particularly MS Office (Excel and Word)
