Job Title: A&E Night Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced A&E Night Nurse to join our team at The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. As a Night Nurse in our Emergency Department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the smooth operation of our department.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assess and manage patients presenting to the Emergency Department, providing timely and effective care to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care, adhering to Trust values and policies.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient needs, preferences, and cultural backgrounds.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they are equipped to provide high-quality care.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to improve patient care and departmental efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Current registration with the NMC as a Registered Nurse.
  • Experience working in an A&E or Critical Care environment, with a strong understanding of emergency nursing principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including night shifts, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education to stay up-to-date with best practices and evidence-based care.
