Job Description

Job Title: Social & Emotional Support Worker

Job Type: Temporary

Location: Central Swindon

Hours: 08:30 - 15:30

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Support Worker to join our team at Protocol Education. As a Social & Emotional Support Worker, you will work with students who have Social, Emotional, Mental Health needs (SEMH), learning disabilities, or are identified as having a statement of an educational need or an Educational, health and care plan (EHCP).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students with SEMH needs
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to meet the needs of students
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment
  • Assist students with daily living skills, such as personal care and hygiene
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of the school's support services

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in working with students with SEMH needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
