Senior Design Engineer

Premea is seeking a skilled Senior Design Engineer to join our team in Leicestershire. As a Senior Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing motorcycle accessories, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop motorcycle accessories, considering function, cost, manufacture, assembly, and quality
- Produce high-quality 3D CAD models using Creo
- Produce good quality 2D engineering drawings, to ASME Y14.5
- Follow and help maintain design, operational, and quality procedures
- Liaise with internal departments such as Sourcing, Manufacturing, Quality, and Assembly
- Liaise with outside suppliers
- Manage your own time and workload effectively
- Create and manage timing plans for your areas of responsibility
- Bachelor degree (minimum 2:1) with proficiency in 3D CAD, preferably Pro-engineer / CREO
- Minimum 3 years experience designing for manufacture and showing a Good knowledge of processes, such as castings, forgings, sheet metal, and injection mouldings
- Experience of creating and releasing 2D technical drawings to ASME Y14.5-2009
- Understanding of geometric tolerances on 2D drawings, to ASME Y14.5-2009
- Good understanding of motorcycle chassis layout and construction
- Practical experience of vehicle maintenance and preparation is advantageous
- Experience supporting and mentoring junior team members would be advantageous
