Senior Design Engineer

Premea is seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Engineer to join our team in Leicestershire. As a Senior Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing new and updated motorcycle accessories, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain design systems and components for new and updated accessory projects, considering function, cost, manufacture, assembly, and quality.
- Produce high-quality 3D CAD models using Creo and 2D engineering drawings to ASME Y14.5.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as Sourcing, Manufacturing, Quality, and Assembly to ensure design compliance and quality.
- Liaise with outside suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of components and materials.
- Manage your own time and workload effectively, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with proficiency in 3D CAD, preferably Pro-engineer / CREO.
- Minimum 3 years of experience designing for manufacture, with a good understanding of processes such as castings, forgings, sheet metal, and injection mouldings.
- Experience of creating and releasing 2D technical drawings to ASME Y14.5-2009.
- Good understanding of motorcycle chassis layout and construction.
- Practical experience of vehicle maintenance and preparation is advantageous.
