About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Digital Services IT Service Desk Apprentice to join our team at Cardiff & Vale University Health Board. As a key member of our service support function, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service to our staff, ensuring they receive timely and effective support for their IT needs.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist with the provision of comprehensive and effective service support to internal/external personnel
  • Communicate effectively and courteously with colleagues and customers
  • Work as part of a team to deliver high-quality service

The successful candidate will be required to attend regular review meetings with their supervisor and assessor, leading to a Foundation Apprenticeship for IT Software, Web, and Telecoms Professionals Level 2.

Main Duties of the Job

You will be responsible for supporting IT issues and requests for over 15,000 members of staff across multiple site locations. This will involve troubleshooting issues remotely or physically, managing IT projects, and carrying out daily duties.

Please note that if you are already degree-qualified, you will be ineligible to apply due to Welsh Government funding criteria on the level 2 qualification.
