Aerospace Estimator Job Description

Robertson Recruitment Services Ltd is seeking an experienced estimator with a strong engineering background to join our aerospace client based in Castle Donington. As an estimator, you will be responsible for producing bid packages for new and existing projects in line with company procedures.

Estimator Responsibilities
  • Create new items, assemblies, routings, and Bills of Materials within our in-house systems database.
  • Utilize relevant estimating software and spreadsheets to ensure accurate bid packages.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the estimating process and drive efficiency.
  • Effectively escalate any threats or blockers to the bid submission.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and customer service departments to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Maintain records of Work-In-Progress, failed, and won bid packages.
Estimator Requirements
  • Strong commercial, manufacturing, and engineering background.
  • Ability to create methods of manufacture for both development and production components.
  • Good understanding of quality requirements within the aerospace industry.
  • Knowledge of PFMEAs, DCMs, Control plans, inspection methods, and assembly techniques.
  • Proven and relevant cost estimating experience covering manufactured parts, purchased parts, and processing.
