Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive bid packages that align with company procedures and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Customer Services, Program Management, Purchasing, and Finance, to ensure seamless communication and timely delivery of bid packages.
  • Identify and escalate potential threats or blockers to bid submission, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing delays.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, fostering open communication and trust.
  • Continuously improve the estimating process by recording and analyzing 'lessons learned' and implementing best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and methodologies, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and efficiency in the estimating process.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in relevant estimating software and systems, ensuring seamless integration and data accuracy.
  • Contribute to the development of company-wide estimating standards and procedures, ensuring consistency and excellence across all projects.
  • Comply with all relevant internal policies, procedures, and regulations, including those related to Health and Safety, Data Protection, and Employee Handbook.
Requirements
  • Strong commercial, manufacturing, and engineering background with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to create detailed methods of manufacture for both development and production components.
  • Good understanding of quality requirements within the aerospace industry, including the ability to read and interpret specifications.
  • Proven experience in cost estimating, covering manufactured parts, purchased parts, and processing.
  • Experience in constructing bid packages in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to identify and communicate business risks when constructing bids.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • IT literate to intermediate level, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of PFMEA's, DCM's, Control plans, inspection methods, and other relevant industry standards.
Working Hours

39 hour working week, Monday to Friday.
