Job Title: Review Officer - Housing

We are working closely with a Local Authority in Enfield to assist with the appointment of a Review Officer - Housing, on a 3-month contract, with a high likelihood of extension at the client's discretion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To minimize legal costs related to threatened or actual court action.
  • To monitor and prepare reports for the Head of Service and members on performance in respect of decision reviews and court cases.
  • To arrange and attend meetings and case conferences with internal and external agencies/local authorities regarding the work of the section.
  • To handle complex correspondence and sensitive issues, such as Member/MP enquiries and complaints.
  • To highlight anomalies/irregularities in the Allocations Scheme, homelessness, and accommodation procedures that arise from appeals to minimize the risk of court action.
  • To obtain medical reports from GPs/Consultants and recommendations from in-house medical advisers, the Mental Health Assessment Panel, or an independent consultant for investigating reviews.

Requirements:

  • Good standard of education.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Candidates should be available to work immediately or at short notice.
  • Candidates should have the right to work in the UK.
