Job Title: Experienced External Auditors

At Pearson, we are seeking an experienced external auditor to join our team as an External Examiner for BTEC Higher National programs. As an External Examiner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our programs and providing valuable feedback to our centers and tutors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake sampling of assessed student work to establish that outcomes are in accordance with Pearson and professional standards for Higher National qualifications
  • Provide sampling-related reports, feedback, and development advice to centers and Pearson
  • Produce quality assurance reports for centers and Pearson on the sampling undertaken, outcomes reached, and support provided
  • Apply appropriate sanctions, in consultation with the team, where necessary to assure quality of learning, teaching, assessment, and professionalism
  • Work with centers to develop and implement action plans where standards are not being upheld
  • Facilitate sourcing materials for training and standardization events
  • Participate annually in online training and standardization activities
  • Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role of External Examiner

Requirements:

  • Experience in esports education and the esports ecosystem, or in esports or related industry or related experience in any of the following in Business, Media, and/or Sports sectors
  • Pearson BTEC Level 4 Higher National Certificate in Esports (General)
  • Pearson BTEC Level 5 Higher National Diploma in Esports (General)
  • Esports experience in education or related industry
  • Prior experience in grading, examination, sampling, or a related role is preferred
