The Role

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge embedded software for new and future technology developments and product enhancements for our electric drive unit (EDU) and EV powertrain systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development of key peripherals required for various projects, including ADCs, PWMs, CAN, I2C, SPI, etc.
  • Deploy code for several power converter projects, including inverts, chargers, and power supplies.
  • Create and/or modify existing code repositories as per project requirements.
  • Support production teams with legacy products and legacy source code.
  • Write clear and concise documents and test reports.
  • Support verification, validation, and unit testing of product code base.
  • Support issue resolution in product development and in-field returns.
Requirements
  • A degree or master's in a relevant subject, such as mechatronics, computer science, electrical engineering, electronics engineering, automotive engineering, etc.
  • At least 3 years of post-academic experience developing embedded software for ECU/control/mechatronic systems.
  • Experience gained within the automotive, avionics, rail, or marine vehicle sectors is highly valued.
  • Embedded C programming (bare metal) is required.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience of deploying code in power electronic converters.
  • Familiarity with TI C2000 toolchain.
  • Network systems/protocols, such as CAN, J1939, FlexRay.
  • Problem-solving and analysis skills, including FMEA, FTA, 8D.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with Matlab/Simulink is a plus.
