Salary
The starting salary for this apprenticeship is £23,148 per annum, plus benefits.
Job Description
This three-year Advanced Apprenticeship Substations programme will train you to become a skilled craftsperson in our substations. You'll learn maintenance techniques for power transformers, main connections, terminals, and various types of joints. You'll be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and monitoring of high-voltage substation equipment, including circuit breakers, transformers, disconnectors, compressors, and auxiliary systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need five GCSEs or equivalent qualifications, including passes in Maths and English Language (grades 4/C or above) OR a Level 2 Pass in Functional Skills. By the end of your first year, you'll need a driving licence that permits you to drive in the UK.
