Job Description

Behaviour Specialist Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Behaviour Specialist to join our team at EdEx Education Recruitment. As a Behaviour Specialist, you will be working with a Secondary school in the heart of Hackney, supporting students with their behaviour and mental health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with psychological professionals to support students
  • Supporting therapists and psychologists in their work, shadowing their support
  • Acting as a mentor and guidance counsellor to students
  • Writing reports based on student's SEMH progress
  • Managing student behaviour using your psychological knowledge
  • Reporting back to SLT and the Pastoral Team

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant
  • Strong passion for working with students on their academia and mental health
  • Enthusiasm and creativity to inspire children with learning
  • The ability to write cogently and fluently with correct spelling and punctuation
  • Patience, kindness, flexibility, good humour and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Professional attitude and approach to work
