Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Birmingham. As a key member of our Maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plant equipment and building equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting directly to the Engineering manager on a daily basis.
- Ensuring all work practices adhere to company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Responsible for Electrical / Mechanical maintenance on a day to day basis.
- To be able to complete electrical installations to the latest regulations within a fast moving factory environment.
- Perform electrical maintenance.
- Support the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of key automated manufacturing plant equipment.
- Implement, document and report routine maintenance schedules for both plant and machinery using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- To assist all trades within the facility and complete mechanical repairs when required.
Requirements:
- A recognised Engineering qualification (Level 3 - Mechanical or Electrical)
- Understanding of Drives & Motors or Pumps
- Hydraulic & Pneumatics experience is a must
- Good understanding of electrical controls would be advantageous (PLC systems)
- Strong understanding of health & safety in a manufacturing environment
