Job Title: Senior EICA Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior EICA Engineer to join our team at MWH Treatment. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in providing superior quality Engineering Design services to support our company's growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement cost-effective design layouts that meet the requirements of our clients and can be constructed and commissioned effectively.
  • Ensure that standard practices are utilised wherever possible, maintain competitiveness, and provide estimates and feedback for our proposals department.
  • Work closely with our team to develop and maintain procedures and processes that ensure the continuing development of our department.
  • Assist in developing procedures and processes and monitor and review them to ensure they are effective and efficient.
  • Write, update and monitor efficient procedures to aid the smooth running of our department.
  • Ensure coordination of designs with all other disciplines internal and external to MWH Treatment.
  • Maintain files and records throughout the duration of contracts.
  • Assure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality designs that meet their needs and expectations.
  • Work within a culture where satisfying the customer is recognised as the key to achieving other objectives.
  • Maintain a personal development plan to ensure continuous learning and growth.
  • Assist in supervising and developing staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Assist in ensuring a safe working environment for all staff by identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
  • Reduce waste to a minimum from all departmental activities.
  • Ensure designs take account of environmental issues and are sustainable.
  • Ensure that design takes full regard of all health and safety requirements.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of the principles of water and sewage treatment.
  • Experience of managing members of staff in designing relevant discipline aspects of water and sewage treatment plants.
  • Membership of a professional institution chartered or nearing chartership.
  • Relevant discipline Engineering HND.
  • Ability to rationalise designs and produce economic plant layouts.
  • Good general knowledge of all aspects of water treatment, e.g. mechanical engineering, process engineering, electrical engineering and project management.
  • A flexible mind, with the ability to assimilate large amounts of different data at one time.
  • Ability to present technical proposals clearly, confidently and convincingly.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Driving license.
Desirable:
  • Working towards Chartered Engineer status.
  • Relevant Engineering Master's Degree.
