Job Title: SEMh Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEMh Teaching Assistant to join our team at Vision for Education - Southampton. As a SEMh Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with Social Emotional and Mental Health needs in a school-based setting.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Support Assistant who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide guidance and support to pupils with SEMh needs, helping them to access education and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and group support to pupils with SEMh needs
  • Work closely with teachers to develop and implement personalized learning plans
  • Support pupils with challenging behavior and develop strategies to promote positive behavior
  • Collaborate with other support staff to ensure a consistent and supportive approach
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience of working with pupils with SEMh needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for supporting young people and making a positive impact
