GMP Recruitment is proud to partner with a highly successful legal firm in the West Midlands. We are supporting their recruitment for a Residential Property Paralegal to join their office south of Birmingham on a full-time, permanent basis.
This position involves working Monday to Thursday from 09:00am to 17:30pm and Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with a highly competitive salary of up to £30k.
We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to join their busy Residential Property team and provide administrative support to lawyers, enhancing office effectiveness.
Key responsibilities include:
- Handling communication with clients, brokers, and estate agents.
- Issuing draft contracts.
- Submitting AP1 Making applications to facilitate the registration of legal Title at the Land Registry.
- Dealing with requisitions and sales enquiries.
- Typing up and filing basic legal documents and correspondence.
- Drafting bills and completion statements.
- Progressing cases on a timely and effective basis in accordance with professional standards, internal procedures, and key dates.
- Updating the case management system and client systems as necessary.
- Preparing files and closing and archiving.
- Undertaking training as required, including firm training, regulatory training, and developmental training.
- Identifying opportunities to cross-sell the Firm's services.
- Answering and directing phone calls.
- Maintaining contact lists.
- Monitoring completions.
- Assisting Conveyancers in managing their caseload by undertaking legal procedures as supervised.
- Assisting Conveyancers with file-related queries, either by telephone or face-to-face, ensuring client service levels and standards are met.
- Ensuring clients are dealt with efficiently and politely, and appropriate legal matters are raised with the Conveyancer.
- Attending to clients, taking instructions, and conducting letter and telephone enquiries as necessary.
- Progressing cases on a timely and effective basis in accordance with professional standards, internal procedures, key dates, and milestones.
Required skills and experience:
- Passion for people and the Residential Property sector.
- Ability to speak and write or translate in Polish and English is preferable.
- Ambitious, motivated individual seeking long-term career development.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise work accordingly.
- Attention to detail and numeracy skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and confidence in liaising with others.
- Experience gained within a similar setting supporting fee earners within a busy Residential Property Team.
