Job Title: Team Leader


Location: Scotland


Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to join our team in Scotland. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for supervising and deploying staff within your allocated team, supporting customers with care and personal support, and promoting their independence.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and deploy staff within your allocated team
  • Support customers with care and personal support
  • Assist the Service Manager and Operations Manager in supporting customers to attain their full potential
  • Responsible for the line management of Support Workers within the service
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support customers and staff
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and maintain confidentiality
  • Develop and implement plans to meet customer needs and improve outcomes
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Recognised professional development and registration
  • SVQ Level 3 qualification in health and social care or currently working towards this
  • Prior experience of working in a relevant care setting
  • Prior experience of working with people with disabilities
  • Full, clean driving licence (if required to drive)
  • Able to work flexibly within rostered hours
  • Knowledge of service user self-advocacy and empowerment
  • Demonstrable commitment to continuing training and development

Skills and Qualities:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to motivate others
  • Able to complete and maintain accurate records, maintaining confidentiality
  • Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the needs of customers
  • Understanding of employment practice and Health and Safety legislation
  • Clear understanding of and ability to deliver to the regulatory framework and legal environment
  • Highly developed IT skills in standard Microsoft packages
