Teaching Assistant Opportunity for English Graduates

Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for English Graduates to join one of our client schools in Tameside as Teaching Assistants. This position will be full-time, starting as soon as possible.

This role is ideal for recent graduates looking to gain experience in education. You will be supported by Teaching Personnel, the UK's leading teaching recruitment agency. For the right candidates, there will be the opportunity for progression into teaching positions once you have become fully qualified.

The salary for this position is between £420 and £450 per week, dependent on experience and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Working with students in small groups or on a one-to-one basis to target the learning needs of pupils who are struggling with their English.
  • Assisting the teacher in their preparation and delivery of lessons, as well as helping with behaviour management to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Assessing the progress of pupils and thinking of ways to support them in their learning as needed.
  • Ensuring that all safeguarding procedures are being followed correctly and addressing any issues in an appropriate manner.

This school has a 'good' Ofsted rating and is a mixed secondary school. It is located in Tameside, making it easily accessible by public transport or car from surrounding areas such as Ashton-Under-Lyne, Dukinfield, and Openshaw.

If successful, you will be required to apply for a fully enhanced DBS check and provide at least two employment-based references.

This is a temporary position, but in some cases, the option to make it permanent may become available at a later date.
