About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Tameside area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a psychology graduate to gain valuable experience in education and make a positive impact on the lives of students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons, ensuring they are tailored to meet the needs of individual students.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students who require additional assistance, including those with special educational needs.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Support students in their social and emotional development, promoting their well-being and mental health.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Assist with the assessment and evaluation of student progress, providing feedback to both students and teachers.
  • Contribute to the planning and organization of extracurricular activities, such as field trips or school events.
Requirements
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of psychological theories, principles, and research methods.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Empathy, patience, and the ability to build rapport with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work effectively in a dynamic educational setting.
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting student learning.
