About the Role

A typical day for a Delivery Driver at C&W Transport involves attending a local delivery station to collect assigned routes at specific collection times. The assigned routes are designed to ensure a maximum of 9 delivery hours, including travel time from the collection point to the first delivery destination. Each delivery location, including travel time between locations, is included within the 9-hour limit. For new drivers, smaller routes are assigned until they become familiar with the role.

Daily Rate

The daily rate for Croydon ranges from £152.20 for SWB to £172.20 for LWB.

Application Process

Step 1: Visit the sign-up fast track page on the C&W Transport website. An online application will be available, which must be completed in full and personal documents uploaded.

Step 2: Book a toxicology appointment. After completing the online application, a toxicology booking will be prompted at a chosen location. Book an appointment that suits and attend the screening.

Step 3: Upon passing the toxicology test, the application will be processed, and a DBS criminal background check will be requested. This basic check typically takes 24-72 hours.

Step 4: With the background check passed, training will be invited.

Step 5: After completing training, a rental vehicle will be collected from a partner or, if using a personal vehicle, haulage insurance policy documents will be submitted to the HR team. The driver will be on the road the next day. C&W Transport covers the cost of toxicology testing and does not require any upfront payments for the rental vehicle or other expenses.
