Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior/Supervising Social Worker to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support to our foster parents and ensuring the well-being of the children in our care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide regular supervision and support to foster parents to ensure the best possible outcomes for children.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and reviews to ensure the needs of children are met.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to promote the health, education, and well-being of children.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as social workers, therapists, and educators, to ensure a comprehensive approach to supporting children.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices and industry developments.

Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker with a degree in Social Work or a related field.
  • Experience working with vulnerable children and families, preferably in a foster care setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with foster parents, children, and other professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meeting the needs of the organization.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, including the Children Act 1989 and the Care Planning, Placement and Case Review (England) Regulations 2010.
