Job Overview
Pro Education - Dorchester is seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Assistant to join our team of experienced educators supporting nurseries across the Dorset and Somerset area.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality childcare to children during their time at the nursery.
- Supervise children during playtime and engage them in learning and play activities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of children's progress.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a safe and nurturing environment.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of the nursery.
Requirements
- Level 3 - Diploma for Childcare (or equivalent qualification).
- Experience working and playing with children.
- Proactive and motivated approach.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Professionalism and ability to work well in a team.
- Effective communication and active listening.
- Knowledge of children's stories and nursery rhymes.
- Flexibility and understanding.
- Positive and cheerful demeanour.
- Ability to manage stress and remain calm.
- Initiative and time management skills.
