Job Title: Head of Finance

The Football Foundation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Finance to lead the finance team and drive financial management and sustainability across the organization.

About the Role:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the organization's vision and objectives.
  • Lead and work with senior management to create and maintain financial models and forecasts to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Prepare and present consolidated budgets and plans to the senior management team and board of directors.
  • Develop high-level financial models to support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and prepare statutory financial returns.
  • Lead and manage the finance team to ensure they are motivated, competent, and working effectively.

Requirements:

  • Professional accountancy qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant post-qualified financial and operational management experience.
  • Proven experience at a senior level in a finance role with responsibility across the entire finance function.
  • Knowledge of the legislative, tax, and regulatory framework of companies, ideally in the not-for-profit sector.
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and develop team members.
