We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Equipment Librarian and Assistant Clinical Technologist to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a key member of our Clinical Engineering department, you will play a vital role in delivering a high-quality Library Service and supporting the maintenance of specialist clinical and dental equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Run the Clinical Equipment Library at a designated site, ensuring the availability of clinical equipment and providing administrative support to the team.
- Deliver requested items to clinical areas and collect items after use, cleaning and decontaminating equipment between return and issue.
- Provide administrative support, including updating job and device records in the medical equipment management database, supporting procurement, and administering the calibration of test equipment.
- Achieve a customer-focussed culture, understanding customer requirements, and ensuring timely and effective communication.

Person Specification- BTEC HNC in Engineering or Physical Science or an equivalent combination of qualifications and experience.
- Practical experience of using a range of test & measuring equipment and applying electronic engineering workshop practices and techniques.
- Experience of providing front-line customer service.
- Knowledge of engineering theory necessary to diagnose and rectify faults on clinical equipment.
- Knowledge and understanding of the risks to patients and staff arising from the use of a wide range of medical equipment.
