Patient Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Patient Advisor to join our team at Beacon Medical Group Practice. As a Patient Advisor, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a warm and welcoming experience for patients and visitors, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
- Manage patient registrations, including new patients, temporary residents, and those seeking temporary cover.
- Process repeat prescriptions, handle prescription enquiries, and identify ways to improve the repeat prescription process.
- Follow up patients with abnormal test results, as instructed by the GP.
- Support the Dermatology Camera, replenish GP supplies, and maintain the reception area, noticeboards, and leaflet dispensers.
- Undertake a variety of SystmOne tasks to assist in the smooth running of the practice, contacting patients as requested by managers and clinical staff.
- Good standard of general education or experience in a similar role.
- Experience of working with the general public, good keyboard skills, and experience of working in a busy environment.
- Understanding of different patient and carer groups and needs, awareness of the importance of safeguarding and procedures, and knowledge of the Data Protection Act.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, good level of computer literacy, clear and polite telephone manner, and strong customer service skills.
- Ability to deal with sensitive issues, time management, and the ability to work to deadlines.
