Key Responsibilities- Deliver and collect cash and other valuable items to and from customer premises, ensuring all work is completed in a timely manner and in accordance with your trip sheet.
- Maintain good, safe and courteous driving behavior and present a professional appearance by always wearing the company uniform and the relevant safety equipment provided.
- Be polite and courteous to customers and members of the public at all times, and wear the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided.
- Carry out vehicle checks and report any security and/or mechanical defects and follow procedures properly in the event of an emergency or a criminal attack.
- Check consignments and ensure accuracy and efficient loading/unloading at branches and other secure areas.
- Undertake training to develop, learn and progress.
- Undertake other duties that may reasonably be assigned to you by your line manager or the business.
- A valid UK driving license.
- Confidence when communicating with customers and colleagues in both written and spoken English.
- An appropriate level of numeracy.
- Ability to follow specific procedures and instructions and work to tight deadlines.
- Previous experience in a driving role would be beneficial, but is not essential.
- Ability to lift and transport heavy items.
- A competitive salary starting at £14.24 per hour, rising to £14.54 after 6 months, rising to £14.84 after 12 months (plus night allowance if applicable).
