We're seeking a talented and ambitious individual to join our Merchandising team as a Fashion Merchandising Assistant. As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in driving the success of our fashion business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Merchandising team in developing and implementing seasonal range plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with Suppliers to share seasonal strategies and plans, communicating and updating regularly on business levels.
  • Present plans to key decision makers in critical path meetings, using reasoned arguments and rationale to deliver sign-off of their plans.
  • Be accountable for department plans, ensuring accuracy across all systems and data points.
  • Work closely with Buyers to ensure on-time, profitable ranges, and oversee trading for the department, taking product actions into current and future seasons.
  • Optimise the current season through OTB management and proactively address terminal stock risk, determining the most profitable solutions.
  • Hold accountability for Department WSSI, driving business-wide visibility of all KPIs (Sales, Margin, Stock, Markdown, Intake).
  • Be accountable for ensuring markdown items are identified and prices agreed within parameters.

Requirements:

  • Buying/Merchandising or Fashion degree or work experience equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability and experience through an Assistant Merchandising or prior experience as a Merchandiser in a fashion business.
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.
  • High standard of commercial acumen and analytical skills with an ability to interpret facts and figures to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills with a high level of attention to detail alongside ability to plan and prioritise your own and team's workload effectively.
  • A genuine interest in fashion.
  • Able to adapt, at speed, to the needs of the business and the customer.
  • Will have a proactive approach and is able to show initiative to seize opportunities, achieving better results for business benefit.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation and influencing skills.
