Estates Maintenance Specialist

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a skilled Estates Maintenance Craftsperson to join our team. As a key member of our Estates Department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of patient care by maintaining and delivering an effective Planned Preventive Maintenance programme and reactive repair service.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a safe maintenance service to all building and construction-related infrastructure.
- Assist in the development of the Estates function into a customer-focused range of services.
- Adopt a flexible, integrated working approach to the delivery of Estates Service.
- Recognize and register CITB (or equivalent) craft Apprenticeship or City & Guilds appropriate qualification.
- Competent tradesperson with extensive relevant experience in building maintenance, preferably acquired in the healthcare sector.

Working HoursThe shift pattern for this position is Monday to Thursday 08.00 to 16.00, Friday 08.00 to 15.30. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
