Job Title: Senior Support Worker - Accommodation Based

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team at Bedfordshire Supported Housing Ltd. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing practical and emotional support to our service users who live in accommodation-based units.

About the Role:

As a Senior Support Worker, you will be responsible for leading a team of support workers and service users in a dynamic and supportive environment. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing individualized support to service users with complex mental health needs and challenging behavior.
  • Developing and reviewing care plans and risk assessments to ensure the best possible outcomes for our service users.
  • Leading and attending review meetings with external health professionals to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Supporting service users to access their community, attend appointments, and engage in daily activities.
  • Assisting with personal care and household tasks, such as medication management and meal preparation.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience and knowledge of caring for people with complex mental health needs and challenging behavior.
  • A NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • Excellent management skills, with good written and verbal communication.
  • A full driving license is advantageous.
