Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English language educator to join our team at Novus, a leading provider of prison education services. As a Functional Skills English Tutor, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education to learners in a prison setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging and effective English language lessons to meet the needs of learners.
  • Assess and record learner progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support their development.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.

Requirements

  • A teaching qualification or subject specialist qualification at Level 4 (Level 5 – new standards) with a commitment to obtain the relevant outstanding Level 4 (Level 5 – new standards) qualification within a specified time scale.
  • Hold at least a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy.
  • Track record of effective teaching in subject specialism.
