Job Title: English Language Educator

LT Selection is seeking a dedicated English Language Educator to join our team in the education and training sector. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging English language lessons aimed at improving learner progression and retention rates.
  • Collaborate with vocational departments to integrate English language skills into broader subject areas, promoting a holistic approach to education.
  • Track and record student progress, attendance, and engagement using digital platforms, ensuring accurate data for informed decision-making.
  • Work towards achieving high qualification success rates and learner satisfaction, driving excellence in education.
  • Engage with learners' guardians regarding progress, providing regular updates and support.
  • Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment that promotes wellbeing and adheres to safeguarding protocols, prioritizing learner safety and happiness.

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience teaching English to Further Education (FE) learners, with a proven track record of success.
  • Ability to embed English language skills in practical, vocational contexts, demonstrating a deep understanding of language and learning.
  • Highly organised, with excellent communication skills and a proactive, solution-focused approach to classroom management, ensuring a smooth and effective learning experience.
  • GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent; a degree or relevant qualification in English is required, demonstrating a strong foundation in language and education.
  • A Level 5 teaching qualification is preferred but not essential for candidates with substantial experience, highlighting the importance of relevant qualifications and experience in teaching.
