Job Overview

People Group Limited is seeking a skilled Signalling Project Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will have experience in implementing Network Rail systems and procedures to deliver high-quality and safe projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Implement Network Rail systems and procedures to ensure cost-effective and high-quality project delivery.
  2. Review relevant legislation and collaborate with governmental departments.
  3. Apply engineering controls and procedures to projects, ensuring compliance with Railway Group and Network Rail Company standards.
  4. Conduct risk assessments and HAZOP analyses to identify potential hazards and environmental impacts.
  5. Monitor projects for compliance with Railway Group and Network Rail Company standards and project control procedures.
  6. Advise project and programme management on construction activities, testing, and commissioning.
  7. Ensure design and construction elements meet legislative requirements, including CDM regulations.
  8. Verify contractors' design, construction, and specialist personnel competence.
  9. Undertake design and construction activity reviews.
  10. Arrange audits to monitor safety and quality management systems.
  11. Perform nominated design and construction/design construction engineer duties.
  12. Conduct accident investigations as required.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will possess:

  1. Technical qualifications to HNC/HND or equivalent level in a relevant engineering discipline.
  2. Experience working client-side within the rail sector.
  3. Signalling project experience, CDM, risk assessment, and engineering management competency.
  4. Membership of a relevant professional body (ICE, IMechE, IET).
  5. Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification.
