Experienced SEN Primary School Teaching Assistant

This SEN Teaching Assistant role is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or experienced teaching assistant to gain valuable experience in a 2 Form Entry Primary School in Westminster.
The successful candidate will be working alongside a child in Year 1 who requires extra support to move around the school due to a visual impairment. The child is friendly and loves coming to school, and their parents are very supportive.
As the 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will be required to assist the child in class to ensure they can access the curriculum using visual aids and general academic support. You will also be responsible for supporting the child to move around the school.
This role would be perfect for a teaching assistant who can make learning fun and has a calm and patient nature. Good English and Maths skills are required, alongside an enthusiastic and happy approach to working with children.
The school offers full training, and you will be working alongside an experienced SENCo and taking part in regular visits with visiting therapists.
Trials will take place in November, with the successful Teaching Assistant joining the team either straight away or in January.
